Cruiseport

Florida's deepest harbor, Port Everglades is a favorite home port for more than 35 cruise ships including Carnival Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruises, Cunard, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Silversea. With a reputation as the "world's premier cruise port" and a favorite libery port for the U.S. Navy, Port Everglades is home to the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center and just five minutes from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and linked with Florida's highway system via I-595. Its name somewhat misleading, Port Everglades is not a part of the wetland ecosystem known as the Florida Everglades. The seaport is, in fact, situated on the southeastern coast of the Florida peninsula within the three cities of Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and Dania Beach. It is located 23 miles north of Miami, 48 miles south of West Palm Beach and 312 miles south of Jacksonville. Cruise offerings range from world cruises and extended transatlantic and transcanal adventures to traditional seven night Caribbean vacations, day trips to the Bahamas on Discovery Cruise Lines and six hour cruises to nowhere aboard SeaEscape.
